Oil seals are rotary seals. They are used for sealing rotating or swiveling machine parts, mainly on shafts. The application areas of the oil seal are diverse and are located at all levels of machine and equipment construction.

Applications for oil seals
These shaft seals are used in the construction of engines, industrial drives, geared motors, electric motors, combustion engines, pumps, drive systems, agricultural machines, construction machines, household appliances, washing machines (for household and industry), dishwashers, large machines, rolling machines and shipbuilding and wind power stations, etc.

Oil seal materials
These rotary seals are available in various materials, such as NBR, FKM, VMQ, ACM, EPDM, HNBR, etc.
Oil seal A has a spring and no dust lip. The oil seal is made of rubber.

Different name of oil seals
Oil seals can have different names, while the same oil seal is meant. For example, the oil seal A, referred to as sealsupply as OS-A10, at Dichtomatik WA, at Stefa CB, at Ebele R, at Taiwan SC, at Kimman KA, at Eriks R, at Freudenberg BA, and at KACO DG.

Description
Oil seal in the standard version according to DIN 3760 with an elastomeric outer jacket and a metal reinforcement ring as well as a spring-loaded sealing lip. The standard type with a dust lip (WAS) on the bottom is available extra.

Application
Sealing of rotating machine parts, such as axles and hubs, for example.

Function
The WA is a single-acting oil seal for rotating shafts. The elastomeric outer jacket makes a good static seal possible, offers a good compensation of the expansion, for example in light metal houses, a better seal with relatively large roughness and a safe seal with shared houses.
A good static seal with liquid or gaseous media is guaranteed.

Media
Good chemical resistance to many mineral oils and fats.

Montage
Suitable auxiliary tools must be used for assembly. It is advisable to shape the installation space in such a way that the oil seal in the housing is axially supported.

Remarks
Other dimensions and other types such as for example dust lip, ridges on the sealing lip, other steel quality of the spring or the reinforcement ring can be manufactured as well as all possible special types. With non-standard dimensions, minimum order quantities may be required.
