Axial Seal AS-10

The axial seal AS-10 is a protecting seal which is used on rotating shafts to prevent external contamination. Unlike a standard oil seal this seal is not made for radial sealing. Instead, it’s made for axial sealing against a flat counterface. This makes the AS-10 axial seal particularly suitable to keep dirt, dust, moisture and grease out and not to keep internal pressure or lubricants inside.

The axial seal AS-10 is used a lot as an additional sealing in combination with bearings and radial shaft seals. In that formation the AS-10 axial seal protects the primary oil seal against external conditions. This increases the service life and the reliability of the total construction significantly. Thanks to the compact design and simple installation, this type of sealing is widely usable within the industrial sector.

The AS-10 axial seal is also known as MSC 01, TBP, RB, VRM 01 and RE.
